Good sources for a college research paper on Iraq/Afghanistan wars?
The Iraq War has had two stages. The first under the senior Bush was to get Iraq out of Kuwait. If I were you, I would research the territorial claims Iraq has on Kuwait and present both sides of this issue. I would also ask if this was plain and simple "blood for oil" given the operations of Western corporations in the oil fields of Kuwait.. Also, you need to find the international estimates on the death of the citizens of Iraq, innocent people caught in a crossfire since they did not actually elect Sadam or his government. The second stage of the war was supposedly a reaction to 9/11 and weapons of mass destruction. What is the evidence that there were any weapons? What did the Democrats say at the time Bush got his approval from Congress to attack? How many innocent civilians died in this war that is still going on as we speak...there are international sources that have estimated this? When you present all of this information you have done so much more than the press has ever done for the American people.
