My partner insecure regarding sex? - strange comments to make?

This is a personal situation so hard to say without being involved but sounds to me like he is a big thinker and quite spiritual, and is looking to reassure himself, or perhaps clarify, his feelings for you. Men generally are more literal than women, so bear that in mind when trying to 'figure out' what he is saying. As a sidebar, if you've only been together a month, I daresay he is taking it all too seriously and thinking about it too much. He could go around assessing everything like this and actually end up undermining the very thing he is trying to ensure (i.e. connectedness). You should both chill out, have a laugh and be yourselves and see how it goes to know the answers to these questions!
