Should i continue to take french or should i take german (opinions)?

I took four years of french in high school and am rather good at it. I want to take a language in college so I can do a semester abroad. However I am kind of sick of french and I want to expand my knowledge. Maybe I want to take german? The oonly thing is I feel it would be good to be advanced in french for when I go there, however in life I think a more gernalized knowledge of both languages is more beneficial than an advanced french education...opinions?
