Essay Help, good ideas and smoothness?

So GED is on the 7th for me and I should practice muh essay skeelz, if you would, give me things that I can write an essay about I want answers from random people. Plus, what makes an essay smooth? I'm probably smooth enough in each switch to the next paragraph but what are some tips you guys can give me to maybe improve that? Father's birthday is the next day after my test, that would be nice if I passed.
