Should I expect to be disappointed?

So a few weeks ago I met this guy on facebook who goes to the same college as me. He started messaging me saying he wanted to get to know me, so we've been messaging back and forth for a few weeks now. One thing led to another, and he basically told me he wants to have sex, but would want a relationship. I've asked him to hangout several times, but he told me he just wants to start out with sex. He sounds sincere in wanting a relationship, and I want to believe him (hes smokin!) But if one of my girlfriends was telling me about this, I would peg him as a total player! I guess I really just want advice on what to do. I don't know that I would really be too disappointed... I just got out of a long relationship, and just want to have fun. But if the opportunity arose and I liked him then I would want a relationship. Should I stay away from him? Thanks!
