Your thoughts on peg leg aka carrot pants?

I was surprised to see how hugely popular these are in Europe -especially parts of Germany. Myself, I can remember when pants like these were a fad back in the early-mid eighties. And I recall that if you any sort of tummy or hips or butt they would make that part look even larger than in slim or straight fitting pants. They are fine if you have the right body shape, if not then the proportions can look a little odd.
