Why is it that homosexuals think about sex so much?

I'm not hating on them in any way, I'm lesbian myself. It's just that pretty much every gay/lesbian person I know, have known or see online (facebook, yahoo!, etc.) are almost always thinking about or talking about sex. Not only that but most heteros, when they think about gays and lesbians they associate them immediately with sex and think that's all it is. Why does the gay community "live up to" the standards that heteros have us pegged at??
